How You Can Help

Volunteer Roles

We welcome volunteers across every area of the museum — from front-of-house and events to education and community outreach. No specific experience is required, just enthusiasm and reliability.

Visitor Experience

Welcome visitors, assist with orientation, answer questions, and ensure every guest has a memorable experience from the moment they arrive.

Events Support

Assist with setup, registration, and coordination for film showings, speaker events, games nights, and private receptions.

Studio Assistance

Support artists and instructors during Fine Arts Studio sessions — helping participants, maintaining the space, and preparing materials.

Archive & Research

Assist our curatorial team with cataloguing, digitisation, and research projects in the museum's reference archive.

Community & Outreach

Help us engage with schools, community groups, and the wider Richmond area — distributing materials, attending fairs, and representing the museum.

Digital & Social Media

Help us document events, contribute to our digital archive, or assist with social media content that shares the museum's story with a wider audience.
